Technology

Our preschool facilities feature a secure keypad entry as well as on site video monitoring. Both of these amenities aid in ensuring that we provide each family with a safe and secure child care experience.

Preschool Classroom Technology

At Jollipoli, we believe that families should feel connected to their child’s day, even when they can’t be in the classroom. That’s why each of our classrooms is equipped with an iPad, allowing teachers to capture and share special moments, learning milestones, and daily updates with ease.

Through our parent app, communication is simple and accessible. With just a tap, you can peek into your child’s world—whether it’s a smile during art time, a hands-on discovery in science, or a new friendship blossoming on the playground. These updates create a meaningful bridge between home and school, giving you peace of mind and helping your child feel celebrated and supported every step of the way.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is vital to children’s success in school. Jollipoli Preschool strives to involve parents in as many ways as possible, so that families can build the foundation for academic and lifelong success together. Parents are invited to spend time in the classroom, whether it’s volunteering during special events or reading a story to the children.

Jollipoli has other ways for parents to be involved and explore learning at Jollipoli Preschool, including:

  • An annual open house and classroom orientation to ensure parents and children start school prepared and worry free.
  • Parents are kept informed of their child’s progress and development through quarterly progress reports and Ages & Stages developmental screenings.
  • Monthly calendars, newsletters, lunch menus and other important information is sent via email and posted in your child’s classroom information board.
  • Families are encouraged to share stories, songs and lessons about their culture which are used throughout the year.
  • Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom; other opportunities to get involved include planning events, preparing projects, and participating in school and charitable events.

CONFERENCES & FEEDBACK

Parent-teacher conferences are held twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. We also ask parents to participate in two parent surveys each year to obtain valuable feedback about the success and accessibility of the program.

Philosophy

Jollipoli Preschool is a safe, respectful, responsive and positive place to be. It is a place that supports children in actively engaging with their world to establish healthy relationships with others, in solving interesting problems and in figuring out who they are and how they fit in their family and community. Children are considered active learners and they are given many opportunities to explore through direct physical contact with the environment. Families feel connected to Jollipoli Preschool knowing that their children are cared for and nurtured in a way that respects their own cultural and familial beliefs.

Values

Jollipoli Preschool is rooted in values and beliefs that support a positive learning environment:

Child-focused

All activities, play/work spaces and materials are developmentally appropriate and support active learning for children. Our high teacher-to-child ratio supports personalized learning and development outcomes for our children.

Whole-Child Development

We foster all aspects of children’s growth and development including problem-solving skills, empathy and respect, independence, language, social development, self-esteem and confidence. We value young children’s healthy development and learning.

Professionalism

We invest in our staff to provide the highest quality environment through extensive and on-going training and professional development.

Diversity

Our focus is on the individual child and our acceptance of differences. It is because of this philosophy that we are committed to incorporating and celebrating diversity in our program. One of the most important things that we do in our work with children, families and students is to encourage recognition and acceptance of each individual’s intrinsic and uniqueness. We believe that children should be nurtured in a way that respects their families’ own cultural and familial beliefs.

Family and Community Connection

At our core is a belief in the partnership between family and school in the endeavor to raise children. We help children flourish by providing opportunities for deep human connections to permeate all aspects of their lives. We help foster the social skills children need to thrive in the relationships they form throughout their lives. We value the participation of parents in their child’s early learning experience.

Sustainable

We are environmentally conscious in all that we do. Daily activities are carried out with the underlying concept of conservation and sustainability. We aim to help instill positive behaviors and interactions amongst the children and nature from an early start.

Vision

At Jollipoli Preschool our vision is to reimagine education for a changing world. To prepare children for success in kindergarten and in their future educational endeavors by exposing them to an innovative and technology rich environment. We aim to create a community of creative, joyful, compassionate learners who use courageous and innovative thinking to build a harmonious and sustainable world.

Mission

At Jollipoli our mission is to provide a high-quality preschool education, creating life-long learners of children ages infant to five years old through a curriculum inspired by the natural curiosities of children.

To accomplish our mission, we focus our curriculum on the whole child; cognitive, physical, social and emotional. Our teachers recognize the importance of safe, supportive relationships and interactions with children and their families. We use developmentally appropriate practices that promote child-guided, active explorations of meaningful questions and all those important “wonderings” about their world. Since children’s world views begin in their homes, family voices and culture are incorporated into our classrooms and programs.
